[Dixonary] Round 2879 word: ANANKE
Fellow players,
This deal is karmic payback for sending my disqualification message in the previous round to the entire group instead of privately to Nancy. OK, I deserve it. Now I can stop beating myself up about it. As someone wrote to me, we've all done it, or something much like it, a few times. Anyhow, not far past the previous word, ama, in the dictionary, one finds the word for this round: ********* ANANKE ********* where the capitalization means nothing. Please concoct a plausible definition of ANANKE and send it to emallach -at- verizon -dot- net. (Don't click Reply. That will publish your definition to the entire group.) If you know what ANANKE means, please tell me the same way. If too many people know it, I'll find another word. The deadline for definitions is a bit under 35 hours from now: 9 pm U.S. EST on Thursday, March 15 (the Ides of March). According to timeanddate.com <http://timeanddate.com/>, that is: and other times in other places. You might want to confirm your time conversion. That site's good, but nobody's perfect, and this is the time of year when some places (such as the U.S.) have made their seasonal time changes but others haven't. I expect votes to be due about 42 hours after that, 3 pm Saturday in the eastern U.S. (St. Patrick's Day). New players are welcome. (So are old ones who've been quiet for a while. Come back to the fold. We won't hold your hiatus against you.) Just send me a definition. Full rules at http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules <http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules> . Happy defining! Efrem Efrem G.
