Default [Dixonary] Round 2864 - QUODDAMODOTATIVE Results

I certainly did not choose a very hard-to-guess word! Though no one came
forward as DQ, no fewer than five players identified the real definition,
"Existing in a certain manner". Ryan McGill's definition, "trendy or
mimicking, literally "in that style"" was so close, I felt I had to combine
his with the real definition, lest people notice the two similar definitions
and vote for both, knowing a dealer's reluctance to combine a player's def
with the real one.

Ryan admitted in his submission that he could identify parts of the word, but
didn't know its meaning. Unfortunately, he may have believed that submitting a
definition similar to the real one makes one DQ (it does not). That may be why
he didn't vote. It's just as well that he didn't, since his 5 natural points
make him the next dealer, anyway. John Barrs is the runner-up with 5 unnatural
points.

So, if you're out there, Ryan...take it away!
