Default [Dixonary] MODILLION (Round 2959) voting time

Folks,

I gave it another hour plus a bit, but no word from Guerri regarding either a definition or a request for an extension, so we'll go with what we have. I hope she's well and able to participate.

Thirteen definitions of MODILLION follow. They have been edited (very slightly) for format consistency and are in order by character count, which might not correspond to visual length in your email display font.

One of these definitions is correct. The others are the products of your collective minds. Please vote for two that you like for any reason (such as, but not necessarily, thinking that they might be correct) by public Reply to this message before the deadline that follows the list.

1. a follower of fashion.

2. a low or worthless poet.

3. a wobble in a rotating body.

4. something depressingly commonplace.

5. An ornate corbel underneath a cornice.

6. a badge or other adornment for a motor vehicle.

7. a rubber knob on the end of a cane to prevent slippage.

8. [Math.] the remainder when any number is divided by a million.

9. an oil paint containing lead acetate in paste form. (TM _E. I. duPont_)

10. an invented fantasy world with its own geography, language and history.

11. a vertical member, as of stone or wood, dividing a window or other opening.

12. a type of filigreed ornamental architectural decoration most often found on balconies and rooflines.

13. the result of atoms of light elements being squeezed under enough pressure for their nuclei to undergo fusion.

The deadline for voting is just under 47 hours from now: Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 am US EST. According to timeanddate.com <http://timeanddate.com/>, that is:

and other times in other places. Please check any conversion that applies to you. That site is good, but nobody's perfect.

New players are welcome to vote. Submitting a definition is not a requirement for voting; the only requirement is that you not know what this word means. Full rules at http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules <http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules> .

Vote on!

Efrem
