Default [Dixonary] Time to Vote for GALLIPOT

Here are 13 definitions, only one of which is real. Vote for TWO
definitions, as a public forum message (in reply to this one), before
the deadline which is 2:00 p.m. in U.S. Eastern time on Thursday,
November 23. This very lazy dealer appologizes for not providing other
time zones.

New players are welcome, even if you didn't enter a definition this
round. Don't look in a dictionary. Full rules, if you're curious, are
at: http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules

1: [Scot] a French bell.

2: a petty scholar of Latin

3: A path between two hedges.

4: a dissolute or degenerate Frenchman.

5: a bread pudding flavored with fruit.

6: In ancient Greece: an unguent-seller.

7: A small decorative object; a trinket.

8: An earthen or pewter cup for liquors; a mug

9: [Law Obs.] a fine imposed collectively on a group of people.

10: a type of conical helmet worn by Turkish forces in the Crimean War.

11: a favorite dish of the Galla people of Somalia, a stew featuring
goat meat.

12: [Obs] a two handled pottery jug holding a gallon used for taking
beer to be consumed at home

13: a small pot made from glazed earthenware or metal, used by
pharmacists to hold medicines or ointments.

#1 rings a bell <g, d, & r>

And I was trying to come up with something like #12.

I, on the other hand, don't believe it's a pot. Too obvious. Ditto for a Gallic (French) or Galla anything. Sorry.

Having thus undoubtedly eliminated the correct definition, I still have to deal with about half of them. I'll go for the small/petty 2 and 7.

I too don't believe in anything French or potty, so I'll vote for 2 & 9.

2: a petty scholar of Latin

9: [Law Obs.] a fine imposed collectively on a group of people.

I’m going to vote 6 & 10, because I don’t know, and I want to reduce the odds of a D0.

Is that bad sportspersonship?

I'll go for the Franco-Scottish bell, and the Turkish headgear, 1 and 10,
please.

1: [Scot] a French bell.

10: a type of conical helmet worn by Turkish forces in the Crimean War.
