Default [Dixonary] Rnd 2979 TURBA - Vote

Here are 14 definitions brought to you by our esteemed panel of experts.
Now your job is to decide which is the definition that was submitted by
a dictionary

Vote for TWO definitions, as a public forum or group message (in reply
to this one), before the deadline..

Â*9:00 pm on Tuesday, 30 Apr 2019 in the UK
4:00 pm onÂ*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â* East Coast USA
1:00 pm onÂ*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â* West Coast USA
intoÂ* 1 May in parts of Oz

New Players are welcome, even if you didn't submit a definition you may
vote.

*JohnnyB*

1. [Music] a name given to the chorus in Passion plays and other
religious oratorios in which crowds play a part in the narrative [from
_turb_ a crowd or heap; specifically the Jewish crowds in the passion
narrative]

Â*2. a spore print or spore deposit on the cap of a mushroom from
mushrooms growing above it; often helpful in identifying mushroom varieties

Â*3. a stack of towels

Â*4. a small, rugged plant with heart-shaped leaves. While its bark and
shoots are edible, the leaves and fruit emit an oil which is toxic,
causing vomiting and lethargy up to and including death in humans and
many domesticated mammals

Â*5. a stew made with chunks of sausage

Â*6. a soldier positioned in front of a unit in drill to demonstrate
correct movements

Â*7. [sl] a mob or crowd

Â*8. rock detritus or debris at the base of a slope

Â*9. a slow dance of Cuban origin

10. a farm implement used for aeration and weed control and conservation
of moisture

11. the fleshy, spore-bearing inner mass of a puffball

12. the eye of a tornado

13. an engineered waterfall with multiple levels

14. a Polish goat dish

Not even believing my submission, I'll give two lucky players my votes:

2. a spore print or spore deposit on the cap of a mushroom from mushrooms growing above it; often helpful in identifying mushroom varieties

11. the fleshy, spore-bearing inner mass of a puffball

Default [Dixonary] OT: Amazon Order as gift

I want to order a Kindle book as a gift for someone. I think the process
is to enter all the information. Then at the end there is an option to
say "this is a gift", and I get a code that I pass along to the
recipient. Does anyone know?

I want to do this today, but probably not until early afternoon.

Thanks in advance,

Guerri

1. Select the Kindle version of your choice of books
2. Open your shopping cart (I think you pick Checkout)
3. Over in the upper right there should be a link (kind of thick
bar-looking thing) that says "Give as a Gift"

Then it is going to ask for the email address of the person who is to
receive the gift. Amazon will email them the link. It also lets you write a
little message to be attached to the gift email.

Works like a charm. I have done it a bunch of times. The recipient gets the
email almost immediately.

Thanks. I will give it a try. I think I actually have to log on to
Amazon, so I hope I have set up an account and have saved my password
someplace.

Yes. All that was assuming you had logged into Amazon and successfully
searched out the book.
