[Dixonary] Round 3054, new word: SERP
Hi all!
Okay, I think I've found a word I can use. I know for sure I have never heard it before (which for me as a non-native speaker is of course far from a guarantee). So do send me an email, quickly, if you know the word. Too many of those, and I'll dive back into the dictionary to find a replacement word *** *** *** *** *** SERP In case you are wondering whether the word requires, allows, or forbids capitalization, feel free to keep wondering. I'm not telling. New here? Cool! The game is fun. You can jump right in. Just don't forget the most important rule: whatever happens, do not look the word up in a dictionary. Better avoid all dictionaries completely, just to err on the side of caution. The rest of the rules: For phase 1 of the game, all you need to do is make up your own definition for this word. Try to come up with a definition that fools (or amuses, or baffles) other players. Send that definition in a reply to me, and only to me: hugo (AT) perfact (DOT) info. Double check that you do not accidentally send the definition to the group! The deadline for sending definitions will be Saturday, Feb 29th, at 9:00 CET, or just over 36 hours from now. If I (read: timeanddate.com) am not mistaken, then this corresponds to 8:00 UTC, 3:00 AM EST, midnight PST, and 21:00 NZDT. I think that covers all time zones that are relevant to our players, and otherwise just use timeanddate.com, or add 36 hours to the time stamp of this mail. If you want the rules in all their gory details (trust me, especially of you are new then you don't), then visit www.dixonary.net.
