Default [Dixonary] Round 3030: Mecate results

Welp, mecate didn’t fool as many of you as I thought it would. In fact, if
Merriam-Webster.com could deal, it would next time with a D6. (Not my
highest score ever, though.)

Our new dealer is, in its absence, Dan Widdis whose fine fiber scored a
natural five. Dave Cunningham breathes a sigh of relief with an unnatural
five. In addition, Efrem Mallach gets 2 dealer points for me misplacing his
def.

Take it away, Dan!

Nancy

1. Brush-wood or more properly windfall-wood.
Shani Naylor
Votes: Judy Madnick 0 + 1 = 1

2. [Mex. now Obs] a small copper coin worth about 10 cents
John Barrs

3. (Bot.) a fine fiber obtained from the leaves of pine trees.
Dan Widdis
Votes: Tim Bourne, John Barrs, Mike Shefler, Dave Cunningham, Efrem
Mallach 0 + 5 = 5

4. a rope usually of horsehair that is used for leading or tying or as
hackamore reins

5. [Obs.] to abruptly terminate an argument.
Mike Shefler

6. a large, open boat made of skins stretched on a wooden frame
Debbie Embler
Votes: Ryan McGill 2* + 1 = 3

7. formed of thin layers; laminated.
Dave Cunningham
Votes: Tony Abell, Mike Shefler, Hugo Kornelis 2* + 3 = 5

8. [Sp] a personal space; literally "my room"
Ryan McGill 0 + 0 = 0

9. a slurry of pig manure.
Steve Dixon
Votes”: Ryan McGill, Shani Naylor 0 + 2 = 2

10. give oneself a particular title or status, rather than being given it
by other people.
Judy Madnick 0 + 0 = 0

11. To settle a dispute between third parties.
Tim Lodge 0 + 0 = 0

12. [Music] Performed with each note stretched until just before the

No def:
Tony Abell 2* + 0 = 2
Efrem Mallach 2* + 2DP + 0 = 4

Thanks

That was my definition! I'm not listed at all, though my votes are included in the count.

Best wishes,
Tim Bourne.
