Default [Dixonary] Round 3146: KIDGE [Call for Votes]

Round 3146: KIDGE [Call for Votes] All,

Some players said that the word kidge did not get their creative definitional juices flowing, and it seems that other players felt the same, even though they did not say that (or anything else). So we have 11 definitions for you to consider. Please vote for two, by the deadline, which is 19h00 CET on Monday 1 March, other times for other places here; that is just over 48 hours from time of posting.

  1.        Cornwall. Fish or other marine species caught unintentionally while trying to catch another type of fish.
  2.        A cold oatmeal cake of Scottish origin, still eaten in Appalachia, esp. Eastern Kentucky.
  3.        The circular rim of a wheel into which the outer ends of the spokes are inserted.
  4.        East Anglian dialect.  Brisk, lively; in good spirits..
  5.        Slang. To surreptitiously cut in line.
  6.        Lies; nonsense.
  7.        One who complains constantly.
  8.        A glovemaker who cures his own kid-skin.
  9.        A deep trough with a slope at each end for administering sheep dip.
 10.        Something of no cohesion or fiber; a feeble union or tie; something not to be relied upon.
 11.        A small nonbiting fly having aquatic larvae and often forming large swarms near ponds and lakes.
