[Dixonary] Round 2942 - word announcement: _ullage_
Barring too many DQs (disqualifications) the new word for round 2942 shall
be: • • • • • • • • • ULLAGE • • • • As usual, capitalisation is irrelevant. Please don't peek in the dictionary, you can join the game at any time. If you already know the meaning of this word, please notify me as soon as possible, and if there are too many DQs, i will pick a different word. Otherwise, please send me your fake definition _in_a_new_email_ (not a reply!) to thoughtstorms (AT) gmail (DOT) com before the deadline, which is Tuesday, 27 November (2018 CE), at 06:00 PM, Central US (aka Texas Time) - or the equivalent in your time zone. As always, i will be dealing without software assist --- on a (virus'd up) 5 inch smart-phone, no less --- so please do keep your eyes peeled for anything that i can try to clear up! Thanks, and happy defining! -kEITH- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group. Keith,
Unfortunately, I know this word well from my days as a rocket scientist. I'll send you a def by tomorrow afternoon if it stands, though. Actually, I was. My PhD is from MIT’s Aeronautics and Astronautics department. I didn’t practice it much after that, though. I just tend to refer to complex things as brain surgery, not rocket science, because I know rocket science ain’t all that hard.

Re: [Dixonary] Round 2942 - word announcement: _ullage_
Interesting, as soon as you mentioned wine, I realised that I know the Def
and would have probably had to DQ later. JohnnyB On Mon, 26 Nov 2018, 19:05 —Keith Hale—, <thoughtstorms (AT) gmail (DOT) com> wrote: > Yes, while i "day-sleep'd" many "dairy queens" were sent in. Re: [Dixonary] Round 2942 - word announcement: _ullage_
Efrem Mallach: "I just tend to refer to complex things as brain surgery,
not rocket science, because I know rocket science ain’t all that hard." Ha! Kind of a funny story, here. My second oldest daughter had to have surgery for what turned out to be a Glioblastoma, the thing that ultimately got John McCain. Everybody else that was there for her cleared off just before they were ready to take her into the OR. I took her hand and asked something really profound like, "You okay?" (What a dad, eh?) "I don't know," she said. "You know how whenever people want to say that something is not all that complicated they say," It's NOT brain surgery? Well, this is brain surgery." And we both had a big laugh. She was quite a girl. On Mon, Nov 26, 2018 at 1:07 PM Efrem G Mallach <emallach (AT) umassd (DOT) edu> wrote: > Actually, I was.
