Default [Dixonary] Rnd 2809 Final Posting for BALBRIGGAN

One of these days I’m going to get my two computers running Win10 straightened out and playing nicely with Coryphæus. In the meantime, I managed to screw up the automatic dealing and have had to score by hand. A side effect was a hit on the deadline. It was supposed to be 7:00pm tonight so I’m going ahead and closing now since I think everyone has voted. Besides, our winner Dan is going on vacation Sunday and has to get busy dealing.

The winner of round 2664 and new dealer is Dan Widdis, whose definition "(Ireland, slang) A drunken conversation about philosophy and the nature of life, shared over a cigarette." Received 7 votes, plus 2 points for guessing the correct def.

Efrem Mallach takes coveted second place with 5 points. Barrs and Lodge are
runners-up with 4 points.

The true definition was 3: "An unbleached cotton fabric for underwear." (AHD 5th), which
4 perceptive players guessed.
