[Dixonary] Round 3212: DERIG withdrawn; IDLI is the new word
*
It turns out that derigis better known than I thought. Three players have said they recognize it as (in Collins’ definition) Brit. 1.n.The removal of equipment or rigging. 2. vt.to remove equipment or rigging from (a ship, stage set, etc). So I’m proposing a substitute word, IDLI and setting a new deadline: Sunday 28 November 09h30 CET <https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Dixonary%20deadline+for+IDLI+de finitions+in+round+3212&iso=20211128T0930&p1=328>. That is 48 hours from time of posting. More than one of the fake definitions I received were such that, though plausible for derig, they may appear suspect if subsequently applied instead to idli. With that caution, I will post those definitions if the authors choose not to provide new definitions for the substitute word. * -- Paul Keating Soustons, Nouvelle Aquitaine, France -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
