[Dixonary] Round 2901 - KNAG - The Results!
I'm shutting her down early because, not only have all the submitters
voted, but four others as well. It looks like a pretty complete turnout for the voting phase which is, of course, a tribute to you clever submitters. What is obvious to anybody who has been watching as the votes rolled in, Tim Lodge just crushed it with his spokeshaving of wood. Ans, he also guessed the correct def, which #2, the knot in wood. So Tim scores a big fat 8. After that, votes were all over the place, with Widdis, Shefler and Naylor each bagging a nice 4 without having to deal. Here is the breakdown as I have it: 1. a mental flaw; a touch of craziness; partial insanity. Daniel Widddis [Voted for 2 & 7] Votes: Stevens, Shefler *2+2=4 2. a knot in wood or a protuberance. Real Def (Dictionary.com) Votes: Widdis, Madnick, Lodge, Hale D-4 3. a type of termite. Guerri Stevens [Voted for 1 & 6] Votes: Mallach 0-1=1 4. a small poisonous snake of Malaysia. Mike Shefler [Voted for 1 & 6] Votes: Mallach, Kornelis, Carson, Bourne 0-4=4 5. a polite reminder. Tim Bourne [Voted for 4 & 7] Votes: McGill 0-1=1 6. to trim wood using a spokeshave. Tim Lodge [Voted for 2 & 9] Votes: Stevens, Shefler, Naylor, Carson, Cunningham, Abell *2-6=8 7. a flourish made after a signature, originally as a precaution against forgery. Shani Naylor [Voted for 6 & 10] Votes: Widdis, Kornelis, Bourne, Hale 0-4=4 8. an African palm tree. Efrem Mallach [Voted for 3 & 4] Votes: McGill 0-1=1 9. a 19-th century Dutch coin, worth two and a half guilders. Hugo Kornelis [Voted for 4 & 7] Votes: Lodge, Cunningham 0-2=2 10. a hanging end or shred. Christopher Carson [Voted for 4 & 6] Votes: Naylor, Madnick, Abell 0-3=3 11. a unit of acceleration of one centimeter per second per second. Judy Madnick [Voted for 2 & 10] Votes: None *2-0=2 Non-submitting voters: Keith Hale [Voted for 2 & 7] *2 Dave Cunningham [Voted for 6 & 9] 0 Tony Abell [Voted for 6 & 10] 0 Ryan McGill [Voted for 5 & 8] 0 Mr. Lodge, over to you. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
