[Dixonary] Round 2844 - CURCULIO - Call for votes
Here is a varied collection of imaginative definitions of CURCULIO, one of which, amazingly, does
come from a dictionary. Please vote for TWO definitions, as a public forum message (in reply to this one), before the deadline, which is slightly longer than I would have aimed for due to the times of church services on Sunday. It is 12 noon on Sunday 22nd BST (1100 UTC). After my previous disaster I won't even attempt to convert that! New players are welcome, even if you didn't enter a definition this round. Don't look in a dictionary. Full rules, if you're curious, can be seen at www.dixonary.net. 1: a confused heap. 2: a small tile used in a mosaic. 3: a traffic circle or roundabout. 4: an object that serves no purpose. 5: a large, ornate ceiling medallion of Italian origin. 6: ornamental pressed tin sheets for ceilings and walls. 7: ornate or intricate, esp. extravagantly or excessively so. 8: any of various weevils; especially ne that injures fruit. 9: a curry paste made from curcumin (turmeric) saffron and coconut milk. 10: a type of crook inserted into a valveless horn to change the relative pitch. 11: spa water, said to have healing properties which relieve common skin and respiratory ailments. 12: an antiarrhythmic medication used to treat and prevent a number of types of irregular heartbeats. 13: (Gun.) a diagram showing the distribution of the pellets of a shotgun on a vertical target perpendicular to the plane of fire. Best wishes, Tim Bourne. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
