Default [Dixonary] Round 2967, GINGICH, results

Folks,

The correct definition of "gingich" is #7, the chief climber or leader in climbing rocks for sea-fowl. The word is from the isle of Uist in the Outer Hebrides, and can be found (among other places) in the Dictionary of the Scots Language, http://www.dsl.ac.uk/entry/snd/gingich . Four perceptive players voted for it.

Our next dealer is Dave Cunningham, whose "[OE] a belt or girdle" garnered five votes. He also voted for the senior rock-climber for a score of 7. Shani Naylor's green stinky bean (apparently there really is such a thing, and she gave its correct Latin name; it just isn't known as a gingich) also had five votes. Her natural 5 makes her the runner-up and traditional "winnah.." Dan Widdis followed with three natural points, worth mentioning because his submission said that he was about to leave on a cruise so "I’ve intentionally submitted a def unlikely to get me the deal." Aren't those often the ones that get the most votes, or at least several?
