[Dixonary] Calendar Software

I hope I haven't already posted this. I have calendar software that I
like. It is for DOS. I thought I could run it in a command prompt window
but that didn't work.

I am guessing that it is a lost cause, and that I should move on, etc. etc.

The software was not just a calendar in the sense that it would tell me
what day and date it was, but I could include a to-do list and mark
items done. I could also set things up so that the calendar would
display when I booted up.

Can any of you recommend similar software that will run under newer
versions of Windows? Prefably said software would be simple and not
loaded up with fancy stuff, singing, and dancing, etc. Just here's the
date, and here's your unrealistic list of things to accomplish, which
said software will happily move forward to tomorrow if not marked as done.

RE: [Dixonary] Calendar Software

I use Chaos Software's Intellect, which includes an email program. However, Chaos also makes Time & Chaos, which includes a contact list, calendar, and to-do list without email. There's a 21-day free trial available at www.chaossoftware.com -- scroll down to "Time & Chaos." Although it's nice to have my email program work in conjunction with my contact list, if you have an email program that you like, at least there's the Time & Chaos option (without email). Everything shows on one screen, which was a major reason for my starting with Chaos Software (originally called Isbister!) many years ago.
