New feature: quick reply

As we learn more about this software, we'll be able to get it working more the way everyone wants.

The new feature today is called Quick Reply. In reading any message, click on the icon that looks like a quill pen against a sheet of paper to the right bottom next to the Edit and Quote buttons and you'll get a box at the bottom to reply to that specific message!

Thanks to Andrew B. for the help in finding the features of this software!

I really like having the "Quote" and "Post" reply buttons separated, too.

Lots of options here... and just about everybody has something they really like about this.

That's true if you're viewing messages in Hybrid Mode, Judy. In Threaded Mode, the Quick Reply box is automatically placed under the message you're reading.

Ooops. You're right, Mark: thanks for the amendment.

By the way, you can collapse the "quick reply" box by clicking on the double << in the upper right corner, if it's taking up too much room on the screen or seems obtrusive. (I'm viewing in Hybrid mode).

Oh neat! I hadn't noticed that before!

That button does nothing in Threaded Mode...

It does for me: it collapses the box whether in hybrid or threaded modes.

Judy,

How do I get rid of the balloon help thingie? Reminds me of the MS Paperclip.

Judy G. Russell June 3rd, 2005 10:20 PM

I have no idea. Let me see if there's any option that can be made user-configurable. Another item for a June weekend.

Judy,

Please. If you can. Paperclip is high on my hit list!
