[Dixonary] OT: Balancing Amounts Rule

I have a vague memory from many years ago that if you added up a set of
numbers twice and you got different results, if the difference was a
multiple of x, there was a misplaced decimal point somewhere. I think x
was 9, but maybe it was 3.

Does anyone know?

From what I recall, if you get different results and the difference is a multiple of 9, there's been a transposition of digits.
