[Dixonary] Round 2935 MAESHIE Results
Perhaps I shouldn't have chasen a word that differed from another, more
well-known one, by only one letter. Three players submitted defs based on the mashie golf club, so I combined them. A MAESHIE, as three perceptive players guessed, is def number 13, the load-carrying basket. Two players, Tony Abell and Shani Nalyor, tied for first place with 6 points each. Two of Shani's point were gained by voting for the real def, so she trails in coveted second place, while Tony takes the next deal. Over to you, Tony. -- Tim L *** MAESHIE *** 1. [Scot.] shy.
